Show Details

SHOW SECRETARY'S WELCOME

Whether you are a member of Sway Gardening Club or someone living in the village who likes growing flowers or vegetables, we would love you to join in with the village flower shows. On this site you will find a list of the 'classes' you can enter. You can bring flowers, pot plants, vegetables, fruit, flower arrangements and cakes.

Our shows are normally held in St Luke's Church.

We hold both Spring and Summer Shows, which have their own pages on this site with more details of classes you can enter and also the Entry forms.

How to enter

It helps to know in advance how many entries we have to find room for so your Entry Form (found on the Spring or Summer Show page) needs to be with us by 4pm the Thursday before the show. There is a fee of 20p per entry. If you are new to this and are not sure what goes in which class, then have a best guess and someone will help you sort out the entries on the day.

Check the 'Show Rules' section for further details.

What to do on the day

Come to St Luke's Church between 8 am and 10.30 am with your entries ready to display, you need to have completed your setup by 10.30, and then exit. You will need to provide your own vases and plates.

The show opens

The show opens to the general public at 2:00pm (Admission £1). Please don’t take your entries home until the end of the show (approx 4pm). Come back between 2 pm and 4 pm to see the wonderful displays you have contributed to and find out what the judges thought of your entries. There will be tea and delicious home made cakes on sale

Presentation of Trophies

Trophies will be presented to the winners at 3.30 pm.
